The cedars of Lebanon, in ancient times, was widespread in the Eastern Mediterranean area. It is believed that the Temple of Jerusalem, the Palace of Solomon and the Maze of Minos, were supported by cedar wood columns.
The origins of cedar wood dates back to the late eighteenth century in the Eastern Mediterranean area. During that period, it was introduced and cultivated in parks and gardens across Europe and Italy.
